Five days, four nights across the Thar: two dune-drive sessions near Jaisalmer, the Longewala battlefield, then Bikaner's Junagarh Fort and a lunch at Lakshmi Nivas Palace.
The Desert Calling runs from Jaisalmer to Bikaner. The first full day is given over to driving on the dunes, with a convoy roll-out and two sessions. The tour then heads east, with a stop at Longewala on the way, to Bikaner's fort, palace and old streets.
You bring your own vehicle, and a recovery vehicle travels with the group. As with any desert driving, plans can change with the weather and local conditions.

How the dates work. The overview box on the flyer prints the nights you stay, so Edition 2 shows December 17 to 20. Check-out is on December 21, which is why the day-by-day schedule runs to the 21st. Edition 1 works the same way: nights of December 2 to 5, check-out on the 6th.

Day 1, December 2 (Edition 2: December 17): Arrival and welcome
Meals marked: dinner
- 3:00 pm Check in at Jaisalmer. Check in to your hotel and relax.
- 8:00 pm Meet and greet, followed by dinner. Meet your fellow travellers.
Day 2, December 3 (Edition 2: December 18): Desert adventure and culture
Meals marked: breakfast, lunch, dinner
- 8:30 am Breakfast.
- 9:30 am Convoy roll: dune drive session. The group rolls out together for the first dune drive.
- 1:30 pm Lunch.
- 3:00 pm Second dune drive session.
- 7:00 pm Evening cultural activity at the hotel. An evening of local culture and entertainment.
- 8:30 pm Dinner.
Day 3, December 4 (Edition 2: December 19): Heritage and exploration
- 7:30 am Breakfast and check-out.
- 10:30 am Visit Longewala. The historic Longewala battlefield.
- 11:30 am Longewala to Bikaner. A long drive across the desert to Bikaner.
- 5:30 pm Check in at the Bikaner hotel. Settle in.
- 8:00 pm Relax at the hotel.
Day 4, December 5 (Edition 2: December 20): Fort, palace and city tales
- 8:00 am Breakfast.
- 10:00 am Visit Junagarh Fort.
- 1:00 pm Lunch at Lakshmi Nivas Palace.
- 4:00 pm City stroll. Explore Bikaner's streets.
- 7:00 pm Fine dineout. The flyer also mentions certification at this dinner.
Day 5, December 6 (Edition 2: December 21): Farewell
Meals marked: breakfast
- 9:00 am Breakfast and transfers. Breakfast, then on to your onward journey.
- Timings are subject to change due to weather conditions and local factors.
- Carry valid ID proof for check-in and safari permits.
